About Youth Theatre of the Bluegrass
YOUTH THEATRE OF THE BLUEGRASS (YToB) was born from PROJECT ENCORE, a performing arts workshop for youth ages 8-14. Project Encore began as an idea of
founding director Alyssa Shelton Curry and soon turned into a partnership with the
Scott County (KY) YMCA in 2005. From 2005 to present, workshops offering Broadway themed classes under the Project Encore banner by way of the YMCA have been held in a variety of locations throughout Scott County with much celebration and success. With the intention of growing the idea of quality arts instruction, Youth Theatre of the Bluegrass became a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization with the intention of offering family entertainment and arts instruction to the community.
